If you want to improve your health and at the same time eat a burger that tastes like burger made with delicious and exotic ingredients, you are gonna be excited about it!
In order to find the best recipe, we are launching a competition all over Australia and you can become our Alkaline Chef, earn money and be promoted in our social media platforms. Your mission is to create a burger with fresh organic ingredients that combines exquisite taste, several health benefits and affordable price.
How to participate:
Make a short video (up to 3 minutes) showing your recipe with ingredients and method.
Post in your Instagram page and tag our page @zingburgeraustralia.
The 5 posts that achieved more views, comments and were most shared will be invited to our great final in which 3 acclaimed Australian chefs will judge the recipes and choose the winner.

Benefits of the Alkaline Diet
According to the site medicalnewstoday.com some research suggests that “alkaline diets reduce a person’s consumption of fatty and processed meats, and they encourage people to eat more fruits and vegetables. This offers several health benefits.” Among these benefits they list:

Quinoa and Black Bean Burger
Ingredients
1/2 cup cooked quinoa
1 can (15.5 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil (plus extra used for cooking)
Method
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and use your hands or a fork to mash into a paste-like mixture
Divide the mixture into four equal sections, and form each section into a patty measuring 1/4-1/2 inch thick
In an oven safe saucepan over high heat, pour a 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil and cook each patty for 1 minute on each side
Transfer the saucepan into the oven and bake for 15 minutes
Serve burgers on whole grain buns or use a lettuce wrap for a lower carb meal
