Hello all you healthy home chefs out there! International Zing Burger is launching a new healthy menu next month and we would like to give you a sneak peek at one of our favourites: The ‘Ama-zing Chicken Burger’. This is not your standard chicken burger! It will leave you feeling full, fresh and ready to crush your day. No longer do you have to fear the food coma after a massive meal. The ama-zing chicken burger uses the freshest of ingredients, and has the perfect balance of protein, fats and carbs. Eating healthy does not have to be boring. Don’t dread your next meal, be excited by it! We at International Zing Burger hope you enjoy this recipe and love it as much as we do!
1: Finely dice 1/2 ounce of white onions, 1/2 ounce of red/green bell peppers.
2: Next drop the onions and bell peppers into a large bowl. Add 4 ounces minced chicken into the bowl. Mix together and form the ingredients into a ball.
3: Thinly slice a quarter of an avocado. Place the avocado on a plate to the side. Next get a small bowl. Dice up a quarter white onion, and a half of a beef tomato. Place the onion and tomatoes into a bowl, squeeze a half lime over the bowl and mix together. When incorporated ad a pinch of salt and black pepper.
3: Fry two strips of bacon in a large pan on medium/high heat. Once crispy pull the bacon out of the pan. Do not throw away the bacon fat left in the pan.
4: Smash the chicken ball you prepared earlier, flat. Add salt to the patty before gently placing it into the pan of bacon fat on medium/high heat. Cook the patty till it is well done.
5: Slice a potato bun in half a spread chipotle mayo on the bottom half. Place two small slice of romaine lettuce on top of the mayo. Then add the chicken patty, bacon strips, avocado, pico de Gallo (onion, tomato lime), and the top of the potato bun.
6: Enjoy your healthy burger!
